LAZUARDI

SD Lazuardi Ibnu Sina is located in Jl. Sao-Sao, No. 88, Bende, Kec. Kadia, Kota Kendari Prov. Sulawesi Tenggara. It is a school open for all as it is an inclusive school that caters to Kindergarten to Grade 6 students.
The school also assures to have and maintain a good relationship with the families of the students as they believe that cooperation between the school and the students is what will help the students learn and grow.
Lazuardi being an inclusive school also prioritizes having a bully-free environment to ensure the safety and comfortability of all the enrolled students. They aim to make their school feel like the second home of their students.
SD Lazuardi Ibnu Sina's Principal

Lazuardi's Principal, Bu Andi Reni Nur, S.Sos, M.Pd. She gave us a warm welcome and made me feel that I was really one of the teachers at Lazuardi.
Ms. Mardhiyah

Ms. Dhiyah, our cooperating teacher. Students who are part of the SEA Teacher Program are also given a cooperating teacher who can be our mentor and guide throughout our assistantships and teaching in our assigned school. Ms. Dhiyah, my cooperating teacher at Lazuardi showed how genuine she is when it comes to helping us learn and in guiding me to become the teacher I dreamt of being.
Academic Support System

Lazuardi uses three different curricula and is used in different grade levels Kurikulum Merdeka, Kurikulum Tiga Belas, and the Cambridge Curriculum these three different curriculums are believed to sufficiently give their students the quality of education they need and deserve to achieve both self-actualization and academic success.
For upper-grade levels (Grade 4-Grade 6), they offer a tutoring class or remedial classes wherein the students can stay in the school after class hours if they get a low score on their exam. The goal of their remedial classes is to provide more knowledge and guidance to avoid further difficulties in their examinations.
For the students with special needs, Lazuardi creates an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for each and provides a therapist that is appropriate for the student to give proper differentiation and accommodation to the students. They provide a therapist for each to be more hands-on with the progress and development of their students with special needs - but this is of course to be discussed with the students’ parents first.
Teaching System

Being in Lazuardi for 28 days, I have observed that the school follows the teacher-centered teaching system as the teachers are the ones who provide the knowledge, and they are usually the ones who share what is to be learned in class and the students, being the receiver of the knowledge from the teachers. In their class, the teacher talks and the students follow or listen.

Reward System - The students in Lazuardi are also used to having a reward system and it helps them to be more motivated to learn in class. Each classroom has a specific place wherein the students can put the rewards they had in their different subjects.
The teachers also make sure to know the interests of their students and use those interests for the introductory part before the class starts. In Lazuardi, I have observed that the teachers make sure to do a motivating activity that has a connection to the interest of the students, in hopes of getting the students interested in the day’s topic too.
Others

They also provide a court, a playground, a canteen, a musholla, and different rooms to cater to the interests of their students such as a dancing room, art room, and music room.
Different activities are also provided for the students. These activities can happen weekly or monthly. An art competition, visiting the library, a short field trip, or even a scouting camp! This shows that the school prioritizes the other aspects of their students' likes and well-being aside from their academics.
